Who we are
Established in 2026, Black History Matters Canada Society is a Black-led non-profit based in North Vancouver on Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territories. We deliver the Black History Matters program to foster inclusivity and truth.
We create imaginative, age-appropriate anti-racism education for K–7 learners and engage adults through outreach to schools, businesses, and community groups. Our goal is to deepen understanding of Black Canadian heritage across generations.
With support from funders and donors, we develop curriculum, create learning materials, and hire Black facilitators so students everywhere can access our programs.
